Scuba diving is incredible in Cabo San Lucas. Within 15 minutes, there are over 30 dive shops or charters that will take you to some of the most awesome dive sites you have ever seen. You'll see tuna, sharks, turtles, whales, lobster and dolphins on your scuba diving adventures. The visibility is generally 75 to 100 feet, with water temperatures ranging from 78 to 85 degrees.

June through September yields extremely comfortable water temperatures and visibility in excess of 100 feet make it easy to view the over 800 species of underwater life that grace the Sea of Cortez. Dive shops offer information on day trips, refresher or full certification courses.

In the main bay of Cabo San Lucas is a dramatic seawall at about 90 feet… discovered by Jacques Cousteau, this wall is home to tons of tropical fish. Off the southernmost point of Land's End; 20 minutes from our home divers frequently see Mantas, Octopus, and Sea Turtles. Cabo Pulmo National Marine Park is home to the largest living coral reef in the Eastern Pacific Ocean. Gordo Banks is 8 minutes of the marina at San Jose Del Cabo. This 130 foot dive which is usually only done by experienced divers is awesome. It is not uncommon to swim along schools of Hammerhead Sharks, Manta Rays, and even an occasional Whale Shark

Dive Locations near Cabo San Lucas include: Cabo San Lucas Sand Falls, Land's End, The Blowhole, Cabo Pulmo, Socorro Island and Gordo Banks…just to name a few. The Sea of Cortez has something for the novice as well as expert diver; with shipwrecks, caves, reefs, and sandfalls to explore. Where you go depends on your expertise. Snorkeling tours are great substitute if you are not ready to explore the deep.

The average Scuba Dive Package includes: boat, dive and dive masters, weight and weight belt. A two-tank dive is approximately$70.00.Night dives (usually 1-tank) are $50.00 and usually require a minimum number of divers to go out.
