

Costa Azul offers the best waves for surfers especially during the months between June and October. The most ideal place for Windsurfing is 45 miles north of Los Cabos airport at Los Barriles. For those who want to stay local, the main beach area in Cabo San Lucas offers body surfing waves and afternoon winds. Check the various activity vendors on the main beach area.
The tip of the Baja Peninsula offers many areas for the surfer including Todos Santos to the north and the East Cape, heading east and northeast of San Jose del Cabo. Local surf is available with Zippers near San Jose del Cabo as one of the popular spots.
La Ventana offers warm water, good wind, and a variety of sailing sites well suited to anyone from beginning waterstarters to expert sailors. Sailing conditions are uncrowded. A Windtracks Magazine article rated La Ventana as the most reliable winter windsurfing location in Baja. The wind is very civilized, with calm mornings and evenings for other activities or relaxing. About late morning the winds begin, light at first, and typically building to 15-25 mph in the afternoon.
Then there are the epic days of the big Nortes; these days are peppered throughout the season and provide great high wind sailing and swell for those who are up to it...there are even a few spots for the wave sailors on those big days. Our location is in the best area in La Ventana with a great beach to launch from and negligible shore break most of the time. All equipment is rigged and ready to go out from our palapa on the beach, which makes sail and board changes quick and easy.

Novice - Ready to try windsurfing? Let's get you off on the right foot! Two 2-1/2-hour lessons include sailing theory, simulator time, and time on the water. The first class covers sailing stance, sail handling, and turning the board. In the second class you will be taught more advanced techniques which will vary depending on your progress. SUCCESS GUARANTEED! This class is conducted in the La Paz Bay (1/2 hr travel time each way).
Waterstart - Are you ready for your ticket to the windsurfing world? The waterstart is broken down so that it's easy to learn. You start on the beach and we'll work our way into deep water as your comfort and ability increase.
Hook 'n' Foot - Do you feel the need for speed...and control? In this class you will work on getting you planing and sailing more effortlessly by learning your high wind sailing stance and beginning to use the harness and footstraps.
Jibe The move! - Are you sailing comfortably, using the harness, front or both feet in the straps? Tired of swimming through your turns? Then you are ready for this lesson. You can focus on all aspects of your jibe and do specific exercises to up your success rate. The VIDEO CLINIC is extremely helpful for improving your jibes. You can also work on advanced transitions such as laydown and duck jibes, shortboard tack, helicopter tack, etc.
